OUR CARE
Care for bones, joints
and movement.
Orthopaedics brings together the assessment and treatment of injuries and conditions affecting bones, joints and the tissues around them.
Our consultants work across Clyde. Your appointment letter will tell you which hospital and clinic to attend.
INJURY & RECOVERY
Trauma & fractures
Our trauma work includes the assessment and treatment of broken bones and orthopaedic injuries. Fracture clinics provide follow-up after injury.
Clyde consultants undertake their trauma receiving in Paisley. Fracture clinics are held at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Inverclyde Royal Hospital and Vale of Leven Hospital. Vale of Leven also provides elective outpatient clinics and day surgery.

Hips & knees
Our team’s specialist interests include hip and knee replacement, revision surgery and soft-tissue knee surgery. Revision surgery means revising or replacing a previous joint replacement.
Treatment depends on your condition and how it affects your life. Your clinician will discuss the options with you; an orthopaedic appointment does not necessarily mean an operation.
